Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

Weekly or twice-weekly therapy that applies analytic understanding to the difficulties of everyday life.

While a person can feel better after a good talk with a friend or relative, for moderate or severe emotional distress this relief is only temporary. Talking with a trained listener helps alleviate emotional distress for good. That is the premise of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

In weekly or twice-weekly sessions we work on anxiety and panic, depression and suicidal feelings, self-esteem and self-image problems, relationship and sexual conflicts, eating disorders, and problems with school or work — not only the symptoms, but the conflicts underneath them.

I offer mental health services to adults, couples, and teens, working with patients from adolescence to old age. All sessions are held online, by secure video, for residents of Florida, Washington, DC, and Michigan.
